Today at the dog park...

So I'm introducing Stella to a fellow dog park lady who was there the day my water broke and another woman is standing there. "This is Stella," i say. The first lady says, oh, she's so cute. and the second lady says, "Wow, Stella must be a popular name right now." and I said, oh really? I didn't know that. and she says, "yes, there are a lot of dogs here at the park named Stella. I have never heard of someone naming their baby after a dog."

Seriously? I just looked at her. Um, we didn't name the baby after a dog, i say.

and then i just walk away.

I know she changes daily...

I can't keep up with her changes to document her properly on the blog. Too little sleep, too much time holding her (b/c she likes to be held when she sleeps during the day. Yah, that has got to stop soon...)

So here are some new ones to keep the grandmas satiated.

Stella's First Bath

Enjoy! - and yes, we are bathing her in our thrift store turkey roaster pan for the time being... and you know what - it works pretty darn well. Best $6 i ever spent, and it's getting more uses than the one time we used it for Thanskgiving this past year. ;)

Some how, my camera didn't have a pic of Grandmum Judy, but here are the other three - Grammy Z, Granddad Ed, and Grandpop Steven - all adoring Stella fans... Grammy Z and Steven are by far the best storytellers. My mom with fantastical tales, and Steven with tales of historical intrigue. It was awesome to listen to...

Surprise!

Introducing -

the newly married Steve Gerlach and Aimee Zygmonski!
Yes, that's right. We finally did it. On Saturday night, when both sets of parents were in town to meet each other for the second time in our ten years of being together, we told them to "dress nice" Sunday morning because we were all headed to Sunset Cliffs to get married.

Needless to say, their jaws dropped.

So we did it. We did it because both sets of parents were in town, and we didn't have to plan to much.

We did it because it's easier to claim Stella as a dependent this coming year for tax purposes.

We really did it for Stella.

And I guess, we finally decided to do it for us - you know, considering it's been 10 years and all.

Steve surprised me by giving me a ring - we had initially agreed to not do them, but I have to be a girl and say, it's really pretty. ;)

Our wonderful friends Bob and Lisa helped us hatch the plan, and were so gracious to host the most beautiful wedding brunch a couple could have, and our friend Dave officiated.

We ended our "first" married day by climbing into bed exhausted at 9pm with Miss Stella Ruth finally quieting to sleep.

Ah, married life.

Just thought this address might be easier than anything else - and for many of you, the original blog address didn't make any sense to begin with.
