So you know it's a bad day when you've already cried like 6 times before 10am.
and your daughter has baby diarrhea and you have no clue why. but otherwise, she's fine and the nurse tells you to just add some pro-biotics to a bottle and she'll be ok.
and you realize that she still isn't taking a bottle.
so you call back the next day and say, my daughter has it about every 2 hours.
and so they tell you to come in
and you end up going to the doctor and she says, keep taking the pro-biotic, she looks fine, and just "breast feed her out of it" - and call me Monday if it's not better.
and you thought at 6 am, yah, that's probably what i should do, but you're a new mom, so you freak out and make an appointment anyway.
and you realize that was just $25 to tell you what you already suspected.
and $25 for the freaking pro-biotic.
so $50 in the hole to tell you that yes, your daughter had diarrhea and it will just go away.
and you realize that you have gotten your period EVEN THOUGH you are breastfeeding and most women don't get it for like 6 months. but no, your body is so strong with hormones that you get it SIX WEEKS to the day your daughter is born.
and your husband, jokingly, lovingly, says to you, as you are crying at 6 am, "oh great, PMS again. This should be fun."
and you want to kill him, even though he was making a joke.
but the small comfort?
you are wearing your pre-pregnancy jeans.
and they are actually buttoned.
all the way.
there might be a little pauch popping out over them, which you hide with a larger sweater.
but they are pre-pregnancy jeans.
and that, my friends, had better be a small comfort for this kind of day.

you made me cry.
I remember. I remember thinking this will never end... and they will come and take this baby away because clearly I am totally unfit. I remember that if My loving husband had said anything at all I would of wanted to kill him. I remember days that I thought would never end... they did. I remember... and now would give anything to have them back. kisses to you and your little family, especially Stella
uh-mazing. I love it. Might put a link on my blog to yours because this is so awesome! FYI, I got mine at 6 weeks, too. So did my mom. Two words: Birth control. It will all get better. I'm glad you're finding the humor in it all. And I'm so jealous you fit into your pre-preggy jeans...I'm 2 1/2 years out and my pre-preggy jeans are laughing at me.
xoxox
Ahh, yes. The early period. Mine came at 6 weeks too. So you're basically just keeping up the TF tradition. :)
xoxo,

Huh, it does seem like there a lot of people here who got their period back at 6 weeks, but I was going to ask whether it might not be a final bout of post-partum bleeding? My post-partum bleeding has lasted about twice that long each time.
But I'm jealous of the jeans. Wow!
