Photos from this weekend - we went to the ADT Center for the World Cup Track Championships on Friday night - the opening day of the races. Just south of Los Angeles, this is the only indoor velodrome in North America, made with 33 miles of Siberian Pine, and has a 45 degree bank on the turns. Frankly, from standing up on the bank - it looked like 90 degress. Racers have to go at least 15 miles an hour on the high part of the bank so they DON'T FALL DOWN.

Insane. And Steve can't wait to try it.

I don't know if you can tell - but this is looking down the bank at turn 4. The pic is a little fuzzy - but i think you can tell how sideways they are on their bikes!
