So I have been wanting to share these cheesy pics of the latest favorite thing in our kitchen (besides, of course, our new bread knife that actually CUTS the bread, as opposed to MUSHING it): Whole Grain Baking- a cookbook that tries to give lots of baking recipes only using whole grains - i.e. oats, whole wheat flour, rye, unprocessed cornmeal, spelt, etc. Let's just say most of the recipes i've tried - which is about 4 - have all turned out pretty good. I've done a sandwich bread, a lemon/vanilla pound cake (oh yes, pound cake with whole wheat flour), wheat baguettes, and these: Sticky buns. Because if oats and whole wheat flour can make sticky buns taste good - i'm sold. And we were. (With a picture of Steve enjoying them too boot.)

I have found, however, that even if i'm a good baker, i'm not a good embroiderer, so the fingerless gloves with the fun wording are taking way too long. In fact, I've pulled the thread out 3 times now. If i can figure it out without screaming swear words at the top of my lungs, hopefully, i'll have a picture of those soon.
