Wacky Knits

So here are the most recent things I've knit! Well, there was a hat and a scarf I made for my brother, but I mailed them on January 3 and he's still not received them. Very lame. I'm thinking some postal worker was really excited to X-ray that package and find what was inside. Sucko.

Here are the fingerless gloves that I finally finished for Steve - the embroidery is really BAD (remind me never to try to do THAT again - but hey, it's good to know your strengths) - but they are custom fit, and he's a happy boy. I'm one panel and one brim away from finishing the matching bike hat.
Thug Life, ya'll.
And here's the hat I made for myself in December, after realizing that babies all over California had been getting handmade hats from me, and I hadn't knitted myself one in awhile. (So selfish, I know). I even made it out of this new yarn that I love making the baby hats out of because it's so soft. It's Bamboo yarn - yes, made from bamboo fibers and it's pretty wonderful. The hat has stretched out a bit, but it's great in the mornings when I'm sitting at the computer and cold, as well as our excursions on the tandem to the grocery store. You can't really see the pattern in the second picture, but there is a diamond pattern running across the middle.

Hopefully, I'll have the biking hat done soon, and then it's onto sock monkey pants.
